Taxon description
Gatunek występujący głównie w południowej i środkowej części Europy, na północ sięgający do Belgii, Danii i środkowej Szwecji. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, bardzo rzadko spotykany, znany u nas tylko z trzech stanowisk. Wymagania ekologiczne słabo poznane. Poławiany w hubach z rodzaju żagiew — Polyporus (Mich.) Fr., znaleziony też w próchnie starego dębu, pod obluźnioną korą zmurszałego dębu porośniętego mchem oraz w sąsiedztwie gniazda mrówek Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.).
