Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Gatunek wschodnioeuropejski, znany poza Polską z Niemiec, Austrii, Czechosłowacji, Węgier, Rumunii i europejskiej części ZSRR. Wiehle (1937) przypuszcza, iż jest to forma Achaearanea tepidariorum (C. L. K.) przystosowana do życia w środowiskach naturalnych. Ponieważ jednak tamten gatunek tez występuje miejscami w wolnej przyrodzie, należy raczej przyjąć, że chodzi tu o dwa odrębne, chociaż na pewno bardzo blisko spokrewnione gatunki.
Żyje wśród trawy na polanach i porębach oraz w zbliżonych środowiskach.
