Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Palearktyce, zamieszkujący niemal całą Europę prócz jej części północnych. W Europie środkowej notowany z ciepłych stanowisk nizinnych. W Polsce rzadko i lokalnie spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk, przeważnie w południowej części kraju. Poławiany na krzewach i drzewach liściastych, rzadziej iglastych oraz na bylinach, w różnych środowiskach — zarówno na torfowiskach jak i na wrzosowiskach oraz w suchych borach sosnowych. Odżywia się mszycami.
