Taxon description
Gatunek znany dotychczas z Francji, Bośni, Czechosłowacji, Grecji, Syberii i Zabajkala; niedawno odkryty w Polsce w okolicy Warszawy — „koło Dziekanowa Leśnego" 10 VII 1972, leg. T. Plewka. Występuje wszędzie lokalnie i jest bardzo rzadko spotykany na silnie nasłonecznionych sosnach rosnących w luźnym zwarciu. Według L. Schaefera (1949) larwy żyją w drzewach powierzchniowo nadpalonych przez ogień. Postacie dojrzałe są poławiane w czerwcu i lipcu, przeważnie na młodych gałązkach sosen.
