Taxon description
Obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku obejmuje zachodnią, środkową i wschodnią część Europy. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych miejscowości w różnych częściach kraju. Postacie dojrzałe występują od maja do lipca. Larwy odbywają rozwój w zmurszałych gałęziach, wiązkach chrustu z drzew liściastych. We Francji obserwowano żerowanie w martwych i zdrowych pędach szczytowych dębu.
