Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony prawie w całej Palearktyce, w Europie na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich i skrajnych prowincji Fennoskandii. Aczkolwiek nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w Polsce na całym obszarze. Znajdowany pod różnego rodzaju szczątkami organicznymi, zarówno w suchych, jak i wilgotnych biotopach. Pojawia się w ciągu całego roku, ale częściej łowiony na wiosnę i jesieni.
