Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do Danii i południowej Szwecji, ponadto notowany z Iranu i Syberii. W Polsce znany tylko z południowej części kraju, przy czym należy tu do najpospolitszych przedstawicieli rodzaju. Zasiedla zarówno kserotermiczne, jak i zimne środowiska na terenach nizinnych i górzystych. Poławiano go od kwietnia do czerwca w dolinach rzek i potoków, na łąkach, miedzach, pobrzeżach wód, słonawiskach, groblach, wydmach, wrzosowiskach i miejscach ruderalnych. Jest gatunkiem polifagicznym, żerującym na roślinach zielnych, trawach oraz drzewach liściastych, również owocowych i niekiedy wyrządza szkody w sadach.
