Taxon description
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje przeważnie na dębie bezszypułkowym — Quercus sessilis Ehrh., rzadziej na dębie szypułkowym — Quercus robur L. Założycielki rodu powodują wiosną powstawanie charakterystycznych zagięć na brzegu blaszki liściowej. Następne pokolenia żerują na spodniej stronie liści, powodując powstawanie białawych lub żółtawych plam, które później zasychają.
