Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Palearktyce.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje w szczelinach kory pnia i gałęzi wierzby białej — Salix alba L., wydzielając obficie woskowy puszek.
