Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
Gatunek występujący głównie w południowo-wschodniej Europie oraz lokalnie na rozproszonych stanowiskach w południowej części środkowej Europy. W Polsce chrząszcz znany z nielicznych stanowisk w pięciu południowych krainach. Wymagania ekologiczne i bionomia tego chrząszcza są poznane niedostatecznie. Postacie dojrzałe łowiono głównie w maju i czerwcu na bylinach należących do szorstkolistnych — Boraginaceae, przeważnie gatunkach z rodzaju nawrot — Lithospermum L. i ośmiał — Cerinthe L., dlatego też są one prawdopodobnie roślinami żywicielskimi larw omawianego gatunku.
