Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie i na Syberii.
Gatunek anholocykliczny, żyje na korze gałęzi i pniach świerka — Picea excelsa (Lam.) Lk. Wyrządza szkody w parkach, szkodząc samotnie stojącym młodym świerkom.
