Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1992:

Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem północną i środkową część Europy oraz Azję Północną. W Polsce bruzdkowiec ten jest dość pospolity na obszarach w północnym zasięgu świerka, znacznie rzadszy w zasięgu południowym; nie notowany dotychczas z Gór Świętokrzyskich, Sudetów i Karpat. Gatunek monofagiczny, żerujący na świerku, jednożenny. Opada wierzchołki i gałęzie górne drzew stojących. Chodnik macierzysty jednoramienny, podłużny lub skośny, zazwyczaj bywa drążony przy okółkach lub pączkach. Cykl rozwojowy jednoroczny.
