Taxon description
Niezmiernie rzadko spotykany gatunek, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej Europie oraz w południowej części środkowej Europy. Podawany również z Afryki Północnej i Kaukazu. Chrząszcz ciepłolubny, do Europy centralnej dotarł z południa w ubiegłym stuleciu; na niektórych obszarach nie zaaklimatyzował się i całkowicie wyginął. W Polsce notowany tylko z dwu stanowisk. Warunki ekologiczne poznane niedostatecznie.
