Taxon description
Północnopalearktyczny gatunek, rozsiedlony w Europie od północnej Szwecji i Karelii przez całą środkową część kontynentu aż do Włoch, Hercegowiny i Rumunii, na zachód sięgający tylko do Renu. W miarę posuwania się na wschód coraz częściej spotykany. W Polsce na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie znajdowany. Występuje pod zmurszałą korą pniaków i obumierających pni, głównie drzew iglastych, rzadziej brzóz, dębów i olch.
