Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od środkowej części Europy po środkowe Włochy, Półwysep Bałkański, Azję Mniejszą i Kaukaz. W Polsce, aczkolwiek nie jest jeszcze znany ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Żyje na miejscach zimnych i wilgotnych, głównie w dolinach rzecznych, na torfowiskach i nad wodami. Bionomia poznana fragmentarycznie. Żeruje na różnych gatunkach wierzb — Salix L. o wąskich liściach. Chrząszcze ukazują się w maju i poławiano je do sierpnia.
