Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w Europie Południowej oraz w południowej części Europy Środkowej. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Żyje na ślazie dzikim — Malva silvestris L. i ślazie drobnokwiatowym — M. pusilla Sm. et Sow. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się w maju i poławiano je do września. Larwa żeruje i rozwija się w owocach, gdzie wyżera 2-3 nasiona.
