Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozsiedlony we wschodniej Francji, południowej Szwajcarii, północnych Włoszech, środkowej części Europy, Karyntii, Styrii, Chorwacji i Dalmacji. W Polsce ryjkowiec ten jest pospolity na terenach wyżynnych i górzystych, na niżu rzadziej spotykany. Poławiany zwykle lokalnie, głównie na pobrzeżach rzek i potoków, na różnych gatunkach wierzb — Salix L., rzadko na Pomorzu i na piaszczystych wydmach nadmorskich, na rokitniku zwyczajnym — Hippophae rharnnoides L.
