Taxon description
Gatunek mało znany, opisany z rejonu dolnej Wisły, z ośmiu stanowisk położonych w trzech krainach — na podstawie przeszło 80 okazów łowionych w okresie maj-sierpień, wyłącznie w umiarkowanie suchych i umiarkowanie wilgotnych środowiskach, pokrytych roślinnością trawiastą z licznie występującym chabrem łąkowym — Centaurea jacea L., która, jak przypuszcza autor opisu, jest rośliną żywicielską omawianego gatunku ryjkowca; w Gorzuchowie 8 VIII autor złowił wiele okazów na suchym zboczu trawiastym z licznie występującym chabrem łąkowym, jedynym rosnącym tu przedstawicielem rodzaju chaber — Centaurea L.
