Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek borealno-górski, rozmieszczony w Fennoskandii i Karelii oraz w górzystych obszarach środkowej Europy, wschodniej Francji, północnych części Włoch i Półwyspu Bałkańskiego; notowany ponadto z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce bardzo rzadki, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w sześciu krainach, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu pochodzi z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje na hubach porastających stare zmurszałe pnie, złomy świerków, jodeł i buków, podawany z owocników pniarka obrzeżonego — Fomitopsis pinicola (Sw. ex Fr.) P. Karst. oraz gatunków należących do rodzaju żagiew, Polyporus (Mich.) Fr., poza tym znajdowany w starych, przegrzybiałych wiązkach chrustu oraz w grzybach należących do klasy podstawczaków, porastających pnie olch i brzóz.
