Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek górski, obejmujący swym zasięgiem Alpy, północny Bałkan oraz góry we Francji i Włoszech. Znany jest w dwu formach. Podgatunek nominatywny obejmuje zasięgiem zachodnią część areału, a omawiany podgatunek wschodnią część począwszy od Alp Wschodnich. Według A. Horiona (1965) nie występuje w Karpatach, Beskidach i Sudetach. Wielokrotnie gatunek był wykazywany z tych obszarów, również z Polski, ale nie znane są dotąd okazy dowodowe i dlatego do czasu udokumentowania danych nie zalicza się omawianego chrząszcza do fauny krajowej.
