Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1976:

Gatunek rozmieszczony od środkowej i południowo wschodniej Europy po stepy zachodniej Syberii. Występuje głównie na terenach otwartych w dużych zbiornikach wodnych, w wodach płynących bardzo rzadko spotykany. Poławiany w jeziorach, stawach, starorzeczach, łachach rzecznych i gliniankach.
