Taxon description
Klimaszewski 1967:
Znany z całej Europy oraz Iraku, Armenii i środkowej Azji. Żyje na różnych gatunkach klonów — Acer L. Biologia jego jest mało zbadana, wiadomo jedynie, że larwy I stadium zimują. Pussard (1932) przypuszcza, że gatunek ten migruje w lecie na inne rośliny (co częściowo potwierdzają obserwacje autora niniejszego opracowania), Schaefer (1949a) uważa, że migrują tylko nie które populacje. Wyjaśnienie tego zagadnienia wymaga jeszcze dalszych badań.
