Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek zwarcie zamieszkujący północną i środkową Europę, na południe docierający do Pirenejów, Dalmacji, Bośni i Rumunii, najdalej na wschód wysuniętym stanowiskiem jest Jarosławl w ZSRR. W Polsce rzadko spotykany, znany tylko z 7 krain. Spotykany zazwyczaj pod korą drzew liściastych, zwłaszcza buków, rzadziej dębów, osik, wiązów, wierzb i topoli, niekiedy również w butwiejącym drewnie, próchnicy, wśród rozkładających się szczątków roślinnych, na padlinie i w gniazdach kretów.
