Taxon description
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem tereny górzyste w środkowej części Europy, na południe docierający do środkowych Włoch. W Polsce chrząszcz mało znany, notowany tylko z dwu stanowisk, od przeszło 70 lat nie znajdowany. Poławiany od wiosny do jesieni, na mokradłach i na pobrzeżach potoków na gwiazdnicy gajowej — Stellaria nemorum L., kościenicy wodnej — Malachium aquaticum (L.) Fr. i jaskrach — Ranunculus L.
