Gatunek stosunkowo niedawno opisany, dlatego też rozsiedlenie jego nie jest jeszcze dokładnie poznane, ale z dotychczasowych doniesień wynika, że jest w Europie szeroko rozmieszczony. Notowano go głównie z południowej części kontynentu oraz z ciepłych terenów w Dolnej Frankonii i z Grazu w Styrii oraz z Fennoskandii i Karelii. W Polsce notowany tylko z jednego stanowiska, ale do tego gatunku należy prawdopodobnie odnieść część danych z piśmiennictwa dotyczących S. (S.) apetzii Muls. Bionomia nie jest znana.
