Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w środkowej części Europy, na zachód sięgający do Francji, Holandii i Belgii, a na południe do północnych części Hiszpanii i Włoch oraz do Kroacji, Bośni i Rumunii. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie znajdowany, głównie w pierwotnych lasach na terenach górzystych. Spotykany przy wyciekającym soku z drzew, zwłaszcza z brzóz i dębów, pod obluźnioną korą i w owocnikach grzyba z rodzaju mleczaj — Lactarius (Fr.) S.F. Gray.
