Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Do niedawna uważany za kosmopolityczny. Dane pewne odnoszą się jednak wyłącznie do Holarktyki bez Dalekiego Wschodu. Dane z innych krain zoogeograficznych dotyczą najprawdopodobniej innych gatunków.
Gatunek jednodomny, u nas holocykliczny. Oligofag na trawach i zbożach, znaleziony u nas na Deschampsia flexuosa (L.) Trin., Corynephorus canescens (L.) P. B., Avena sativa L., Arrhenaterum elatius (L.) P. B., Glyceria fluitans (L.) R. Br., Bromus L. sp., Festuca ovina L., Triticum vulgare Vill., Secale cereale L., Hordeum distichon L., Hordeum vulgare L. i Zea mays L., rzadziej na innych roślinach jak — Equisetum arvense L. Szkodnik zbóż i traw, notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
