Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek znany z Francji, Alp Austriackich i Polski. U nas notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w krainach południowych, gdzie występuje jako gatunek charakterystyczny dla biotopów kserotermicznych. Zasiedla tereny wyżynne i podgórskie. Żyje na macierzance piaskowej — Thymus serpyllum L. em. Fr. i na macierzance zwyczajnej — T. pulegioides L. Samice składają jaja pojedynczo poniżej węzła na liściu, w zagłębienie zrobione ryjkiem i przykrywają jajo czarną wydzieliną z odbytu. Larwa wyżera w liściu parenchymę, pozostawiając nienaruszony oskórek.
