Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych obszarów Fennoskandii po kraje śródziemnomorskie, notowany też z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. Zamieszkuje całą Polskę z wyjątkiem wyższych położeń górskich. Żyje na mięcie nadwodnej — Mentha aquatica L., mięcie polnej — M. arvensis L. i na mięcie okrągłolistnej — M. rotundifolia (L.) Huds. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do listopada. Larwy żerują najczęściej nad węzłami w części górnej łodygi powodując na niej jajowate lub kuliste wyrosła długości 4-6 mm i szerokości 2-3 mm.
