Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek znany z Europy Południowej oraz południowej części Europy Środkowej, ponadto notowany z Azerbejdżanu, Kazachstanu i południowo-zachodniej części Syberii. W Polsce chrząszcz kserotermiczny, znany głównie z południowej części kraju, zwłaszcza z terenów wapiennych, poza tym wykazywany z jednego stanowiska na Nizinie Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej. Występuje na często wysiewanej i niekiedy zdziczałej sparcecie siewnej — Onobrychis viciaefolia Scop., spotykany również na sparcecie piaskowej — O. arenaria (Kit.) Ser. Larwa żeruje i odbywa rozwój w łodygach, gdzie drąży chodniki w białym rdzeniu.
