Taxon description
Gatunek borealno-górski, rozprzestrzeniony w północnej części Palearktyki, od środkowej i północnej Europy sięgający na wschód przez Syberię i Mongolię aż do Korei. W północnej Europie docierający do skrajnych prowincji Fennoskandii, a w środkowej Europie występujący głównie na obszarach górzystych, niekiedy tylko znoszony wodami powodziowymi na niżej położone stanowiska w dolinach rzecznych. W Polsce bardzo rzadko spotykany. Ogólnikowa wzmianka o występowaniu omawianego gatunku na Pomorzu (Szujecki 1961) odnosi się do stanowiska w NRD kwestionowanego zresztą przez A. Horiona (1963). Żyje na piaszczystych miejscach słabo porośniętych roślinnością, na pobrzeżach rzek i potoków, jezior i stawów, często znajdowany w napływkach.
