Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową część Palearktyki, w Europie docierający do południowych części Anglii i Fennoskandii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich, brak jednak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych o rozmieszczeniu w wielu krainach. Znajdowany od maja do października na kwitnących trawach i roślinach zielnych rosnących na łąkach, pobrzeżach lasu, zrębach i przesiekach; zimujące chrząszcze spotykano pod opadłymi liśćmi i wśród mchów na skrajach lasów.
