Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony głównie w północnej i środkowej Europie, nadto notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w Danii, Holandii, Belgii, Francji, północnych Włoszech, Chorwacji, Bośni i Siedmiogrodzie. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany, przy tym nie znany z wielu krain, a w niektórych od przeszło stu lat nie poławiany. Występuje zarówno na terenach nizinnych jak i górskich, sięgając do górnej granicy lasu. Znajdowany najczęściej na wilgotnych miejscach, w próchniejących pniach i pieńkach, w hubach nadrzewnych, pod mchem i opadłym listowiem.
