Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony wprawie całej Europie (na północy dochodzi do koła podbiegunowego), wykazywany również z Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i Syberii. W Polsce wszędzie, ale dość rzadko spotykany, w górach sięga ponad górną granicę lasu. Żyje zarówno na otwartych jak i leśnych obszarach, zasiedla przeważnie suchsze gleby piaszczyste i żwirowate, niekiedy z domieszką gliny. Najczęściej znajdowany pod liśćmi i płatami mchów, wykazywany również z pól uprawnych i ugorów.
