Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986a:

Gatunek występnjący w południowej, środkowej i zachodniej części Europy oraz w południowych prowincjach Fennoskandii. W Polsce bardzo rzadko spotykany, notowany tylko z trzech krain. Zasiedla pobrzeża wód stojących, gdzie występuje na różnych roślinach, zwłaszcza na pałkach — Typha L. Rozwój larwalny odbywa w męskich i żeńskich kolbach kwiatostanowych. Chrząszcze zimują w pochwach liściowych, pod ściętymi trzcinami i w napływkach.
