Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do północnej Hiszpanii, środkowych Włoch i północnego Bałkanu, ponadto podany z Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, lecz nie obserwowany jeszcze w wielu krainach. Zasiedla torfowiska, olszyny i wierzbniaki oraz łąki podmokłe i pobrzeża wód, najczęściej znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi.
