Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek zamieszkujący Europę południową i zachodnią oraz południową część Europy Środkowej, wykazywany poza tym z Kaukazu i Indii. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z pojedynczych stanowisk tylko w sześciu krainach. Występuje w prześwietlonych lasach liściastych na ciepłych stanowiskach. Larwy żyją w żerowiskach chrząszczy podkorowych i drewnożernych, głównie w drewnie dębu; są notowane również z winorośli. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano na kwiatach krzewów.
