Europa: Anglia, Szwecja, Finlandia, Holandia, Niemcy, Polska, Francja, Szwajcaria, Austria.
Gatunek jednodomny i holocykliczny. Monofag na przymiotnie ostrym — Erigeron acer L. Żeruje na łodydze i pędach kwiatowych, rzadziej na spodniej stronie liści.
