Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej, północnej i środkowej Europie. Wszędzie występuje lokalnie, poławiany rzadko i sporadycznie. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu tylko krainach. Znajdowany pod odstającą korą oraz w przegrzybiałym drewnie drzew iglastych, zwłaszcza sosen, rzadziej jodeł i świerków, opanowanych przez grzyba, niszczyka jodłowego — Hirschioporus abietinus (Dicks. ex Fr.) Donk.
