Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie południową część Europy, docierający na północ izolowanymi stanowiskami do Austrii i Słowacji; notowany ponadto z Danii, zachodniej części Afryki Północnej, Kaukazu i Syberii. A. Horion (1961: 131) podał omyłkowo, że omawiany gatunek wykazał z Polski M. Łomnicki (1913). Pierwszy, a zarazem jedyny raz z naszego kraju został wykazany (Ostrowski 1966) z Puszczy Białowieskiej i Wyżyny Lubelskiej, jednak dane te wymagają potwierdzenia. Występuje w owocnikach hub na drzewach liściastych. Znajdowano go w hubach należących do rodzajów: hubiak — Fomes (Fr.) Fr. em. Teix., lakownica — Ganoderma P. Karst. em. Pat. i żagiew — Polyporus (Mich.) ex Fr. em. Donk.
