Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony od północnej Afryki przez prawie całą Europę aż do około 64° szer. geogr. północnej, na wschód sięga do Syberii i zachodniej Azji, notowany nadto z Kaukazu, Wysp Kanaryjskich i Madery. W Polsce najpospolitszy gatunek omawianego rodzaju na terenach nizinnych i w niższych stanowiskach górskich. Zamieszkuje gleby różnych typów, wymaga jednak dużej wilgotności, unikając w okresie wegetacyjnym większego zacienienia.
