Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w południowej i środkowej Europie, wykazywany ponadto z Wysp Brytyjskich, jednej południowej prowincji Szwecji oraz Algierii i Tunisu. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Żyje w zmurszałym drewnie dębów, buków i topól, przeważnie w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek Lasius brunneus (Latr.).
