Taxon description
Pospolity gatunek, znany z całej Palearktyki. Zamieszkuje łąki, pola, ogrody, skraje lasów itp., od poziomu morza do 2400 m n.p.m. w Tatrach.
Niektórzy autorzy, np. BÖSenberg (1901), Wiehle (1956), uważali Micryphantes rurestris C. L. Koch, 1836, i Micryphantes fuscipalpis C. L. Koch, 1836, za odrębne gatunki. Jeśli chodzi o Polskę, przyjmujemy, że występuje tu tylko jeden z nich (0 ile są to rzeczywiście «dobre» gatunki, co wydaje się bardzo wątpliwe!) – Meioneta rurestris (C. L. K.). Założenie nasze potwierdzają dane Leberta (1875) – «rurestris» jest identyczny z «juscipalpis», BÖSenberga (1901) – «fuscipalpis» jest synonimem «tenuipalpus» oraz stanowisko Kulczyńskiego, który, mimo iż w pracach używał nazwy «fuscipalpis», zmienił ją później w kartotece zbioru na «rurestris».
