Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Pospolity gatunek palearktyczny, zasiedlający prawie całą Europę z wyjątkiem skrajnych północnych prowincji Fennoskandii, notowany poza tym z Ameryki Północnej i Południowej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze oprócz wyższych partii górskich. Występuje na padlinie, pod ekskrementami i silnie gnijącymi szczątkami roślinnymi.
