Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
Podgatunek o słabo poznanym rozmieszczeniu. Zasiedla głównie Europę Wschodnią, docierając do Uralu Południowego. Notowano go poza tym z jednego stanowiska na Słowacji. Podgatunek nominotypowy występuje na Ałtaju. W Polsce jest chrząszczem mało znanym, znalezionym tylko w Puszczy Białowieskiej. Ogólnikowa wzmianka o występowaniu w Galicji opierała się na danych odnoszących się do stanowiska leżącego poza naszą granicą (Stanisławów w Ukraińskiej SRR). Omawiany chrząszcz jest ekologicznie związany z drzewami liściastymi. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się w maju i są poławiane do lipca. Niższe stadia rozwojowe i cykl życiowy dotychczas nie są poznane.
