Taxon description
Gatunek palearktyczny, rozpowszechniony w całej Europie aż do najdalszych jej krańców, poza tym znany z północnej Afryki, Kaukazu, zachodniej Syberii i północnej części Mongolii. Najpospolitszy z gatunków omawianego rodzaju, prócz wyższych partii górskich występuje w całej Polsce. Żyje na miernie wilgotnych i suchych glebach różnych typów, szczególnie piaszczystych, występuje na terenach odkrytych, niezbyt silnie ocienionych, często wykazywany z gruntów uprawnych.
