Taxon description
Rzadko spotykany, choć szeroko rozmieszczony gatunek euro-syberyjski, występujący w Europie od skrajnej północy do Pirenejów, środkowej części Włoch, Bośni i Bułgarii, wykazywany również z Kaukazu, północnej części Mongolii, Syberii oraz Kamczatki. Żyje na suchych glebach żwirowych zarówno w jasnych lasach jak i na otwartych terenach morenowych i dyluwialnych skąpo porośniętych roślinnością, spotykany również w dołach po wybranym żwirze.
