Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w zachodniej, środkowej i wschodniej Europie, na południe sięgający do Siedmiogrodu i północnego Bałkanu, notowany również z południowych części Anglii i Szwecji. W Polsce znany z kilku zaledwie stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Spotykany przeważnie pod kamieniami i opadłymi liśćmi, w leżących, butwiejących pniach, najczęściej w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek z rodzajów Lasius Fabr. i Formica L.
