Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Gatunek o zwartym zasięgu ograniczonym do Europy południowej, zwłaszcza jej części zachodniej, znany nadto z izolowanych stanowisk w Afryce Północnej i Europie Środkowej. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, notowany tylko z trzech krain, przy tym dane o występowaniu w miejscowości Gruszeczka budzą wątpliwości, gdyż oparte są na wzmiance K. Letznera sprzed przeszło stu lat i następnie przez niego i innych autorów bezkrytycznie powtarzanej. Według A. Horiona (1955) w zbiorze K. Letznera brak okazów dowodowych, natomiast w zbiorze G. Polentza (Muzeum Przyrodnicze Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego) jest okaz z Siedliska koło Nowej Soli — V 24. Ogólnikowe wzmianki o występowaniu na Śląsku oparte są na tych właśnie stanowiskach, leżących właściwie na Nizinie Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej.
