Taxon description
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek w północnej części Holarktyki, w Europie od Wysp Brytyjskich i północnej Fennoskandii aż do Pirenejów, Włoch i północnej części Półwyspu Bałkańskiego. W Polsce, prócz wysokich gór, prawdopodobnie występuje na całym obszarze. Najczęściej spotykany gatunek leśny pod płatami mchu, gnijącymi grzybami, opadłym listowiem, zwłaszcza buków, na wyciekającym soku z pni drzew oraz na padlinie drobnych gryzoni.
